Major tier builder based in Melbourne is currently seeking an experienced Site Manager and/or General Foreman with experience on either large scale apartment or retail projects for forthcoming projects. The company have an excellent industry reputation across high profile buildings in the majority of the Australian states. These construction works, coupled with experienced senior management have provided lasting career opportunity and development for their entire team.

With several jobs coming online in the next 2 months the company are seeking an experienced site manager and/or General foreman to come onboard during the early stages of design and contribute from the projects outset. You will be responsible for the overall buildability and construction of the project and ensure accuracy is met across quality, time and safety of the appointed works.

Your years of experience working on projects upwards of $50M will allow you to identify and rectify early design flaws and ensure the project is run to programme from the outset. Strong leadership is essential for this role, as is the ability to communicate effectively within the project team, with the client and client representatives. Strong subcontractor leadership is critical throughout the project, as is your ability to effectively manage material, logistics, quality, safety through clear direction within your supporting management team.

Accurate reporting is required from this individual and you will be reporting to a senior level project manager. Ideally you will have worked within a recognisable Tier 1 or Tier 2 construction company here in Australia, with a preference to local Melbourne experience. Ideally your background will show loyalty and long term commitment to the employer which is sought and offered by our client.
